#banner life insurance
My wife and I each have $750K each in three policies through Banner Life and have had them for many years. (One for her and two for myself.) It was necessary to update some information as we changed from Bank of America to another bank. After lengthy hold times and a few dropped calls I finally reached a representative.
While their customer service representatives are very polite and well informed about their company policies, they are unfortunately restricted by those policies from being any help at all.
In essence they charges to receive a copy of each policy, at $25 each. They could not accept my new bank information over the phone, and could not change our beneficiaries, or provide copies of our policies.
My clear concern is this – I m still alive and they are this useless and frustrating to deal with, what about my poor family dealing with them should I pass away? I told them it was essentially just as easy to cancel my policy and start a new one with another company as it was to update information with them. The representative was always polite but basically offered a courteous oh well in the form of We hope to keep you as a customer but understand you have to do what s best fort you.
For the price I have already found the same coverage and plan to make the change.
